The Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Dmitri Chernyshenko, reported that trade with Venezuela could reach 400 million dollars in 2030, if the objectives established in the bilateral cooperation plan are met.
Chernyshenko stressed that meeting the objectives will allow Venezuela to position itself among Russia's ten main trading partners in Latin America, Sputnik reported.
The official indicated that the commission maintains as a priority the expansion of the projects envisaged in the plan and highlighted Venezuela's willingness to increase the portfolio of joint initiatives.
On May 8, Presidents Nicolás Maduro and Vladimir Putin signed a strategic partnership agreement in Moscow that establishes a road map to strengthen cooperation in the economic and energy sectors, among others. These documents are in addition to the more than 350 agreements signed between the two nations within the framework of their strategic relationship.
