This Wednesday, the presidential spokesman of the Russian Federation, Dmitri Peskov, stated that Moscow received signals from European capitals about its desire to participate in talks for the resolution of the conflict over Ukraine, but he does not consider it appropriate.

“There were signs from the Europeans that, so to speak, they want to take their place at the negotiating table on the question of the Ukrainian solution, something that we do not consider necessary or convenient,” Peskov said, according to information detailed by Russia Today (RT).

The spokesman also indicated that Russia has not received any “other types of signals” from European countries, not even that they “want to at least enter into a dialogue”, including energy issues, with Moscow. “On the other hand, it's never too late,” he added.

Peskov recalled that the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, “is open to a constructive dialogue and to discussing the most sensitive issues at the negotiating table.”

During the month of February, Russia warned that the Kiev regime and Europe are only undermining the search for peaceful solutions to the Ukrainian crisis. In this regard, Moscow clarified to European leaders that attempts to prevent dialogue do not bring them closer to the negotiating table.
