The ambassador of the Russian Federation to Venezuela, Sergey Mélik-Bagdasárov, denied the news released by the Associated Press agency about an alleged evacuation of Russian diplomatic personnel in Caracas, stressing that such statements are part of campaigns aimed at compromising strategic relations between the two countries.

Through a message on the social network X, the Russian representative described these media operations as disinformation attempts aimed at generating uncertainty and weakening political ties between Moscow and Caracas. He assured that the diplomatic mission continues to operate normally and that there is no withdrawal process.

The ambassador highlighted the firmness of the Venezuelan people and Government in the face of external pressures, stressing that the defense of sovereignty is a principle shared by both nations. In his message, he stated that the aggression against Venezuela is aimed at undermining its stability, while the country's response is based on dignity and resistance.

The Russian diplomatic representation reiterated that bilateral cooperation remains solid and is oriented towards greater political and economic integration, in an international context characterized by tensions, unilateral sanctions and information war campaigns against States that do not align with Washington's interests.
