This Friday, the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergei Lavrov, issued statements to the press in which he blamed the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) for generating the greatest number of security threats in the Eurasian region.
From the Kazakh city of Almaty, in the context of the meeting of foreign ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the head of Russian diplomacy asserted that “the threats emanating to Eurasian security come from different directions, but in the overwhelming majority of cases the source of these threats is the aggressive policy of NATO.”
Lavrov stressed that the military block seeks to take control of security issues in the region and tries to create small structures, such as troikas or quartets of nations, to supposedly reserve stability.
