Russia urged the US not to “slide” into a full-scale conflict with Venezuela

‎El vice-chancellor of Russia, Sergey Ryabkov, urged the administration of US President Donald Trump to refrain from “sliding” into a full-scale conflict with Venezuela.

‎El diplomat reiterated his country's solidarity with Venezuela, while recalling that both nations recently signed a strategic partnership and cooperation agreement.

‎Asimismo, expressed Moscow's concern about the events surrounding Venezuela, since “tensions do not decrease and the escalation continues.”

‎ “This is primarily related to the desire to establish the undisputed dominance of the United States in the region; this is a trademark of the Trump Administration. We show solidarity with Venezuela; a strategic partnership and cooperation agreement was recently signed,” he said.

‎Además, ruled that “we support Venezuela, just as it supports us, on various platforms. In these difficult times, we are side by side with Caracas, with the Venezuelan leadership. We hope that the Trump Administration will refrain from continuing to slide into a full-scale conflict. We call on them.”
