The Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation sent a note to the ambassador of the United States (USA) in Moscow, Lynne Tracy, demanding the cessation of all types of assistance to three American Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), which are described as “undesirable” by the Kremlin, for promoting anti-Russian programs and projects.

American Councils for International Education, Cultural Perspectives and the Institute of International Education, with the support of the American embassy, are carrying out programs and projects in Russian territory aimed at recruiting agents of influence under the guise of educational and cultural exchanges, the note states.

In this regard, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns that if any type of assistance to the activities of these NGOs continues, it will be considered “a violation of Russian law”, which is why it demanded the removal from the official website of the diplomatic mission and its social networks “the list of educational projects and programs carried out by these NGOs, which aim to promote attitudes and values alien to Russian society”, he cites RT on its web portal.

The text indicates that attempts to interfere in Russia's internal affairs, including subversive actions and the dissemination of disinformation in the context of elections and the special military operation, will be severely and decisively suppressed, including the expulsion as persona non grata of the employees of the U.S. Embassy involved in such actions.
