Russian and Chinese bombers carry out a joint patrol in the Pacific

The Russian Aerospace Forces and the Chinese People's Liberation Army Air Force conducted a joint air patrol in the Asia-Pacific region.

The information was provided by the Russian Defense Ministry, who detailed the air group included Russian Tu-95MS strategic missile carriers and Chinese Xian H-6K strategic bombers. The maneuvers were carried out over waters of the Sea of Japan and the East China Sea, as well as over the western part of the Pacific Ocean.

In addition, Russian SU-30SM and MiG-31 fighters and Chinese Shenyang J-16 fighters provided air cover. The duration of the joint flight was about 8 hours. The maneuvers complied with the provisions of international law and did not violate the airspace of foreign States, the Ministry of Defense specified, adding that these are routine patrols and are not directed against third countries, the RT news page reported.
