The economic growth rate in the Russian Federation turned out to be not only higher than the initial forecasts, but it was also higher than the same index in the United States (USA) and other “developed economies”, as stated, Vladimir Putin, in a meeting with the head of the National Government, Mikhail Mishustin.
“Mikhail Vladimirovich, our economic growth rates not only exceed the forecasts we made, but they are also higher than the world average and similar indicators in the world's 'developed economies',” said the president.
According to the statistics, US economic growth was 2.8%, which Putin described as good. “In the eurozone everything was more modest, I mean the main economies. France achieved growth of 1.1%, while in the Federal Republic of Germany the trend was negative, of -0.2%”.
The President of the Federation recalled that several countries of the European Union (EU) are currently experiencing a significant decline in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth rates. “It's their problem. We know why. Now we don't talk about them, but about us.”
