Russian Foreign Minister to attend negotiations with the US in Saudi Arabia

The Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, reported that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, and Yuri Ushakov, presidential advisor for International Affairs, will participate in talks with United States (US) officials in Saudi Arabia next Tuesday, February 18.

Lavrov and Usahkov will fly this Monday to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, according to statements by the Russian spokesman.

Peskov told the media that officials will discuss the restoration of US-Russian relations, prepare possible peace talks on Ukraine and organize a meeting between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.

The U.S. delegation is expecting the assistance of Secretary of State, Marco Rubio; National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, and White House Special Envoy for Middle Eastern Affairs, Steve Witkoff.
