The Russian President, Vladimir Putin, inaugurated this Saturday in the area of the city of Sochi, in the federal territory of Sirius, the World Youth Festival 2024, which will be held until next March 7 with the presence of 20,000 young people from 190 nations.

“You will be able to personally verify that, for example, a smile for us is not a mask of duty, but a sincere expression of feelings. That if we give our word, we always keep it. We believe in youth and we are building Russia as a country of opportunities for youth. And of course, we are always open to dialogue,” said the Russian president through a video released on social networks.

He also highlighted that the Eurasian nation has previously held three youth forums and each time they confirmed that for youth there are “no borders or dividing lines”.

“I am sure that they will receive a colossal charge of positive emotions at the festival and will return home with love for Russia,” he added.

Putin mentioned that hundreds of thousands of requests were sent for the meeting from 190 countries, which shows that there are no borders or dividing lines for young people.

“The brotherhood of peoples has always been and is Russia's main support, advantage and strength, and multinational unity is our greatest value,” he added.

The youth meeting is attended by 20,000 young leaders, including 10,000 foreigners, who will exchange views on the areas of education, science, culture, sports, volunteering and charity, among others.
