Ruta de la Esperanza took a day of reading to the El Ávila camp

The National Book Center (CENAL) organized a day to promote reading in the El Ávila temporary camp, located in the San Bernardino parish of Caracas, where girls, boys and young people enjoyed the oral narration of the story “Bolivar and the Freedom of the Birds”, as part of the program of the Route of Hope.

The activity was led by reading promoters Martha González and Carla Hernández, who shared with the participants a story inspired by an anecdote from Simón Bolívar's childhood.

The activity was carried out with the purpose of bringing children closer to the patriotic values and solidarity that marked the life of the Liberator.

At the end of the narrative, the children prepared a letter of congratulations for Simon Bolivar 's birthday, on a day that combined reading, creativity and reflection on the historical legacy of the Father of the Fatherland and his contribution to the independence of several Latin American nations.
