In the task of imbuing the inhabitants of the parishes of La Vega and Antímano with the Venezuelan Christmas spirit, the mayor's office of Caracas (A.C.), deployed the “Christmas Route with Flavor”, together with the Popular Street Economy, in these communities where the people enjoyed a free event for the family.

These festivities are held with the objective of celebrating and promoting Venezuelan cultural traditions, encouraging unity, the enjoyment of music, gastronomy and local crafts in the city of Caracas.

“Christmas with the flavor of the people of Caracas, their music, cuisine and everything that represents us as a town full of joy, peace and love with all the cultural strength and traditions of the 22 parishes in the municipality,” said Renny Paruta, coordinator of Popular Street Economy at the mayor's office of Caracas (A.C.).

He added that this is a project of the Social Secretariat and Support for Popular Power and the Secretariat of Planning and Urban Control of the A.C. to bring healthy fun, culture and traditions to the different communities of Caracas, as well as giving formal quality to the vendors of the popular street economy.

“Following the guidelines of our president Nicolás Maduro to start Christmas activities starting October 1, here we are with the mayor of Caracas sharing our Christmas cultural heritage, waiting for a victorious 2025 and the swearing in of President Nicolás Maduro before the National Assembly,” said Paruta.

Nancy Goitía, a merchant, thanked President Maduro and Mayor Carmen Meléndez for bringing to the Antímano parish these activities of the “Christmas Route with Flavor” that infect the community with joy and hope.

“We invite people to attend hikes, musical concerts, craft sales and Christmas cuisine on the weekends here in Antímano,” the spokeswoman invited.

For her part, Osmary Liares, a maniquiure entrepreneur and clothing seller in La Vega, thanked the mayor's office of Caracas for the support that the mayor's office is providing to the popular street economy.

Grateful for the support and I ask popular merchants to move forward, always together and in union with our president Nicolás Maduro and the mayor Carmen Meléndez,” said this street vendor.

For his part, Jorge Rengifo, inspector of Popular Economy of the A.C., highlighted the comprehensive medicine care operation brought to vendors in La Vega.

“Today, throwing the house out the window, more than 400 people have been treated in the various services we brought to the parish, including medications, permission from Urban Control, anti-drug talks as well as music and Christmas dishes,” Rengifo said.

Day of Comprehensive Care for the Community

Carmen Teresa Ibarra, coordinator of the Popular Economy sector of La Vega parish, highlighted the work of the local political team that managed this comprehensive care activity for the community before the mayor's office.

Pedro Castillo, a resident of this populous Caracas neighborhood, valued the efforts of the Mayor's Office to bring medicines, as well as a piping event at the end of the afternoon for the community.
