Saab: Investigations into fake news released by María Corina Machado are progressing

The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, indicated that the country's authorities are making progress in investigations into the fake news released by the leader of the extreme right, María Corina Machado, and her alleged arrest on January 9.

During a press conference held this Monday, Saab recalled that last Thursday an attempt was made to position the opinion matrix on the alleged “kidnapping” of Machado, which she denied herself through a video.

In this context, the prosecutor also drew attention to the arrest, in perfect health, of a citizen who, according to Machado, was mortally wounded and then disappeared by State security forces, while she was “held”.

“They, supported by some international media, insist on this false positive,” he stressed, while assuring that the Venezuelan people “will not continue to endure more calls for violence by these extremist groups.”
