Saab prosecutor: Serious crimes have fallen by 82% in Venezuela

This Sunday, November 17, the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, reported that serious crimes in Venezuela have fallen by 82%, according to data from the Public Ministry.
“Crimes considered serious: Homicide, robbery, vehicle theft, have fallen by 82%. That's shocking,” he said in an interview broadcast by Venevisión.
He pointed out that they have the figures state by state and by municipality, to demonstrate the progress that security forces and the Attorney General's Office have made in combating crime. “A scourge that for many years was the greatest concern of citizens,” he stressed.
On the other hand, regarding the plans he has in his second term after being appointed for the second time as Attorney General, Saab pointed out that “this second phase of consolidation, development of each of the plans that has given us the sufficient prestige and credibility that the Public Ministry has today”.
He stated that the professionalism and direct attention he has given to the citizen not only in the tax office but in all the offices of the Ministry at the national level.
Saab also indicated that the citizen service desks are part of this initiative, as well as the service days called the “Public Ministry goes to your community”, which are organized in different squares in the country.
