Adults over 60 years of age or older may process their Identity Card on a preferential basis, at the offices of the Administrative Service for Migration and Aliens Identification (SAIME).

This care methodology for elderly citizens applies to all offices of the identification body in the national territory, from 8 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon.

Older adults who need to renew their identity document must submit to the SAIME official, a copy of their ID or the same expired or damaged laminate as the case may be, in addition to providing an email address with which the public servant can make the request.

It should be noted that this service only benefits older adults, while the rest of the population that requires a card for the first time or renewing the document, must schedule their appointment through the SAIME platform on social networks and follow the steps indicated on that page. It's a transparent and fast process.
