The Administrative Service for Identification, Migration and Aliens (SAIME) has certified more than 4,600 people through Indigenous Route days.
This is a balance sheet - presented by the Ministry of Popular Power for Indigenous Peoples (MIPPPI) - that includes actions since last October 15. The program has taken identity and inclusion to the deepest corners of the Venezuelan geography, serving communities native to the states of Bolívar, Guayana, Esequiba and Zulia.
Among the 4,602 inhabitants served so far are 1,991 infants, who already have their identity cards. 489 data updates have also been carried out for cards ranging from 22 million to 32 million.
The ancient peoples: Pemón, Uruak, Warao, Yekuana, Iruak, Eñepa, Jivi and Huottoja have been the first to benefit from this operation.
