SAIME registered more than 4 thousand people from the Indigenous Peoples

The Administrative Service for Identification, Migration and Aliens (SAIME), served 4,600 people through the Indigenous Route program, in the states of Bolivar, Guayana, Esequiba and Zulia.

According to the information, this action began on October 15, with the intention of providing identity and inclusion to the original communities of the states of Bolivar, Guayana, Esequiba and Zulia.

“Among the 4,602 inhabitants served so far are 1,991 infants, who already have their identity cards. 489 data updates have also been carried out for cards ranging from 22 million to 32 million.”

It was also known that the Pemón, Uruak, Warao, Yekuana, Iruak, Eñepa, Jivi and Huottoja communities were the first to benefit from this operation.
