The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil Pinto, held a meeting with the first Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph Gonsalves, with whom he agreed in condemning the escalation of harassment against the legitimate and democratic government of Venezuela by the United States, which seeks to criminalize governments in the region to justify military intervention.
“We had a cordial and productive meeting with the Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph Gonsalves, to whom we convey a warm greeting from President Nicolás Maduro. During the meeting, we reviewed our bilateral ties and joint work in regional cooperation, reaffirming our mutual commitment. We also agree in condemning the escalation of aggressions and threats of use of force in our southern hemisphere, as well as the dangerous criminalization of legitimate governments to justify interventionism, highlighting our position in defense of regional stability and sovereignty,” the minister wrote on his social network Telegram.
