On May 11, 1904, Salvador Domènec Felip Jacint Dalí i Domènech was born, better known as Salvador Dalí, a prominent Spanish painter who revolutionized surrealism through his works.

Dalí, an art historian, is considered a genius of painting, experimenting with impressionism, dadaism and surrealism, where he excelled for creating an extravagantly suggestive art.

Renowned for his dreamlike symbolism, Dalí was an extremely imaginative artist, who stated that not knowing the meaning of his art did not mean that he did not have it.

Producer of around 1,500 paintings, some of the most outstanding of the Figueras genius are: The Persistence of Memory, Still Life with a Bottle of Rum, Girl in the Window and The Last Supper.
