San Bernardino camp offered recreational activities for children affected by the earthquakes

The temporary camp of the Guayana
Esequiba Cultural and Sports Complex, located in the San Bernardino parish of Caracas, was held a
day of recreational activities aimed at boys and girls who remain there after
the earthquakes of last June 24.
This
was announced by the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, who specified that the
space has various attractions for the well-being of children,
including theater performances, face painting, educational games,
creative painting, children's playground and gift giving, all developed under the supervision of specialized personnel.
He also indicated that other temporary camps continue to operate
in the capital, including El Ávila, whose capacity was expanded to receive
a larger number of families, in addition to those authorized in the Sucre, El Paraíso, El Junquito,
El Recreo and 23 de Enero parishes.
Meléndez recalled that these spaces were activated immediately after the emergency to provide shelter to affected families and function as collection centers for the reception and distribution of humanitarian aid.
