During 2025, the National Scientific Seedbeds Program impacted 562,695 children and young people, reaching a cumulative number of 872,377 participants, since 2023, said the Deputy Minister of Communalization of Sciences for Production, Danmarys Hernández.

“The program bears fruit and consolidates its foundations because the work they have done, both political and technical, continues to act on the agendas that have been established,” such as the one built together with the National University of Sciences Dr. Humberto Fernández - Morán, he said during a videoconference with the territorial teams of the Ministry of Science and Technology and presidents of the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (Fundacite) in each state.

He recalled that this territorialization work is a demand from President Nicolás Maduro Moros to consolidate teaching and the strengthening of sciences, technologies and the development of innovation since the generation of relief.

Deputy Minister Danmarys Hernández referred to the Small Engineers Agenda, which since its implementation has trained 272 facilitators and facilitators from the states of La Guaira, Lara, Zulia, Caracas, Carabobo, Trujillo, Aragua, Miranda, Anzoátegui, Yaracuy, Falcón and Bolívar.

This agenda, according to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology, includes an Electronic Educational Kit, with 30,000 modules, which will be progressively delivered to training spaces, such as technical schools, educational units with mentions in science and technology in Venezuela, among others.

“Little Engineers comes to attest, to give evidence, to make it a reality that we can design an educational tool both physically (hardware) and virtually (software) that there is national talent behind it,” he said.

Regarding the call for the Venezuelan Astronomy Olympics 2026, Danmarys Hernández reported that the goal is for 10,000 young people from all over the country to participate in this great knowledge event.

He recalled that, in 2025, the OVA recruited just over 7,000 children and young people who participated in the state, regional and national phases.
