The Secretary General of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), Jorge Arreaza, lamented the physical departure of Namibia's revolutionary leader, Sam Nujoma.

“It is with deep pain that we received the news of the physical departure of the leader of the Namibian Revolution and Founding President of his beloved country, Dr. Sam Nujoma,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.

He also reaffirmed that “revolutionaries of the world will always recognize with admiration all their struggle for the emancipation of Southern Africa against shameful segregationism”.

He recalled that President Nicolás Maduro gave life to the revolutionary leader of Namibia the Francisco de Miranda Order, as a tribute to the Bolivarian People's outstanding militancy and dedication.

“Until victory, always, dear Tatekulu!” , said Arreaza, who referred to the pride he feels at having had the opportunity to honor him in his lifetime.

The regrettable physical departure of the revolutionary leader was announced by the current president of Namibia, Nangolo Mbumba, who explained that Nujoma died on Saturday night after being hospitalized in the capital, Windhoek.
