Sectorial Vice President Cabello explained that five mayors are being arrested in Zulia

The sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, announced that five mayors of the state of Zulia have been arrested as part of Operation Lightning in Catatumbo who are linked to the mafias that operated in the entity.

In this regard, during a press conference, he explained that the arrested mayors are: Fernández Duarte Indira, Alberto Sobalvarro, Jorge Nava, Fernando Loaiza and Danilo Esteban Áñez.

He pointed out that these are the mayors of the areas where these mafias linked to drug trafficking operated.

In addition, he specified that apart from Mr. José Enrique Rincón's shrimp company, 120 new companies linked to this plot of corruption, drug trafficking, terrorism and corruption have been identified.
