Security and risk control bodies attended to the collapse of a mine in El Callao

Members of the different security and risk control bodies, most notably Bolívar State, dealt with the collapse of a rudimentary mine in El Callao.

The information was issued through the Instagram account of the entity's Operational Zone for Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (ZOEDAN), which detailed that the incident caused the death of one person and left two injured.

In this sense, it became known that “the structure consisted of a cylinder seven meters deep in the barrel, and three meters of galleries, from which the injured were extracted with the support of other miners in the sector”.

“The agencies present during the event were the Emergency Control of the General Mining Company of Venezuela (Minerven); Municipal Civil Protection, National Mining Reserve, Bolivarian National Police, and State Police,” ZOEDAN reported.
