Serbia denounces that the aggression against Venezuela demonstrates the collapse of the international legal order

The president of Sebia, Aleksandar Vucic, affirmed that International Law and the Charter of the United Nations (UN) no longer work, only brute force prevails, referring to the military attack of the United States against Venezuela.

“We must clearly recognize and understand that, after the action in Venezuela, it is absolutely evident that the international legal order and the UN Charter do not work at all,” said Vucic, after a meeting of the Serbian National Security Council, reviewed by the Sputnik agency.

He also stated that the law of the strongest dominates the world: whoever is stronger, puts pressure, and that is the only principle of contemporary politics that exists today.

In this context, the president announced that Serbia plans to double the army's defensive capacity in a year and a half, increase the number of troops by 30% and firepower by 100%.

The US President, Donald Trump, ordered the execution of a large scale military attack against Venezuela, with President Nicolás Maduro being taken along with his wife, Cilia Flores, to New York.
