Sergio Lotartaro: More than 40,000 community councils have been activated to learn about youth projects

More than 40,000 community councils in the country were activated in meetings to learn about the proposals for community projects made by the youth and which will be voted on in the Popular Consultation on July 27, said the youth minister, Sergio Lotartaro.

During a telephone contact with Venezolana de Televisión, the minister pointed out that more than 20,000 youth meetings have been held throughout the national territory, which in his opinion constitutes a clear sign of participatory democracy. “There is no more democratic country, and today our youth demonstrate it in the streets, despite the rains and adversities,” he said.

Likewise, the holder of the youth portfolio celebrated the massive attendance of young people who, as he indicated, have enthusiastically taken up the construction of a new map of social and territorial priorities in their communities, as part of the consultation process.

The minister reaffirmed that this democratic process not only empowers Venezuelan youth, but also sets a historic precedent for future generations.
