During the meeting with the Minister of Popular Power for Sports, Franklin Cardillo, and the general director of the organizing committee of the championship, Renny Bernal, logistical issues related to the event, which will be completely free of charge, were discussed, as well as the fine-tuning of details of the transport plan for delegations, the streamlining of visa processes, the calendar and security systems.
It should be noted that the tournament will host ninths from Argentina, Panama, Curaçao, Cuba, Colombia, Nicaragua and Venezuela at the Monumental Simón Bolívar stadium in La Rinconada, with a capacity for 40,000 spectators, while Jorge Luis García Carneiro's diamond in Macuto, La Guaira, with a capacity for 14,300 fans.
The Americas Series will be played in a round-robin format with 21 games in the first phase (14 in La Rinconada and 7 in Macuto), and the four best teams will advance to the semifinals on February 12. The game for third place and the grand final will be held on February 13.
