Shell to send $5 million in humanitarian aid to Venezuela after earthquakes

The company Shell announced a contribution of 5 million dollars to support response and recovery efforts in Venezuela, following the emergency caused by the earthquakes that occurred on June 24.
Through a press release replicated by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), the oil company indicated that the resources will be channeled through the World Food Program (WFP) and local humanitarian organizations, with the purpose of meeting priority needs such as emergency food assistance, access to essential supplies and immediate support to the most vulnerable communities.
He also took the opportunity to express his solidarity with the affected families, as well as with their workers, contractors and allies in the country, in addition to recognizing the work that emergency teams continue to do in the impacted areas.
“We are deeply shocked by the impact of these earthquakes on the Venezuelan people,” said the president of Shell Venezuela, Adam Lowmass.
He reaffirmed that the “priority is to support affected people, and we are collaborating with humanitarian organizations to bring urgent aid where it is most needed. We are honored to be able to accompany Venezuela in this difficult recovery process.”
