Simón Bolívar National Journalism Award 2025 opens call

Through the social network Instagram, the organization of the Simon Bolivar National Journalism Award 2025 reported that the call for applications is now open from Monday, April 14 to June 9.

This is the country's most important award in the communication field and is aimed at Venezuelan and foreign journalists residing in the country, who can participate with printed, audiovisual, digital or graphic works broadcast in Venezuelan media between July 1, 2024 and May 31, 2025.

Applications may be made directly or through third parties. The judging jury will recognize the best journalistic pieces in the categories of Written Press, Radio, Television, Digital, Community and Alternative, Graphic Imaging, Opinion, Teaching and Research, and Cultural Journalism.

In addition, the Simon Bolivar Single Journalism Award 2025 will be awarded to a professional with an outstanding career, who will contribute in an exceptional way to the development of journalism in Venezuela.

Applications must include a statement of reasons, a copy of the identity card and a curriculum summary, sent to the email [email protected].

Media users will also be able to nominate journalistic works independently. The award ceremony will take place on June 27, as part of the Venezuelan Journalist Day, with the award of a statuette, diploma and cash recognition to the winners.
