This Thursday, Slovenia declared the Israeli Zionist Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, persona non grata, which will mean that he will not be able to enter that European territory, a measure that was in force for the ultra-right ministers, Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich.

The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Nevá Grasic, argued this measure because of the procedure opened against Netanyahu before the International Criminal Court (ICC) for war crimes and against humanity and recalled that an independent commission of the United Nations (UN) classified Israeli genocide and abuses in the Gaza Strip on September 16.

Grasic explained that, with this decision, his country wants to send “a clear message” to the Israeli authorities to assume that Slovenia expects respect for judicial decisions and international law on their part. “This is no measure against the Israeli people,” he emphasized.

This year, during the month of July, the Slovenian government declared the Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, and the Minister of Finance, Bezalel Smotrich, as undesirable elements, inciting violence and serious human rights violations with “genocidal statements”.
