Officials of the National System for Risk Management (SNGR), through the Central Strategic Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis Region (REDAN) and the Operational Zone for Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis in Venezuela (ZOEDAN) Aragua, carried out a technical inspection of the affected area after the landslide that occurred in the El Junquito National Highway, near the Cucurucho sector, Tovar municipality.

SNGR personnel were immediately activated to assess the situation on the ground and apply security protocols, with the objective of safeguarding traffic and the integrity of citizens.

The inspection determined the need for greater intervention due to the volume of material moved; for this reason, coordination was established with the technical staff of the municipality's mayor's office.

Finally, thanks to this joint, clearing work is expected to begin in the next few days, which will allow for the prompt restoration of safety in this important road artery.
