Through the social network X, the musician co-founder and vocalist of the rock band Pink Floyd, Roger Waters, called on the people of Venezuela to go out and vote for the country's candidate, Nicolás Maduro, so that our country is not sold to imperialism by the fascist extreme right.

“The reason I am sending you this message today is so that you vote for Maduro, President Maduro, in the elections of July 28. Why? Because Venezuela belongs to you, the people of Venezuela, not to the Chevron corporation, which is the one with whom (María) Machado wants to make the deal to give away your country,” he said Thursday on the social network.

He also recalled that six years ago the Venezuelan extreme right, in the figure of Juan Guaidó, tried to overthrow President Maduro by ignoring his electoral victory, and then trying to create a State and a parallel Presidency that was part of a plan devised by the United States.

“They failed, that was six years ago, thank God. Six years later, there's another snake in the grass. Her name is (María) Machado and she has another puppet (...) (Edmundo) González, is a sock puppet. But he is also a representative of the United States Government,” he said, reiterating the importance that on July 28, Venezuelans must go out and vote so that the Homeland is not sold.
