The Deputy Minister for Latin America, Rander Peña, published through his Telegram channel a statement issued by different social organizations in Guatemala rejecting the presence of Edmundo González in his country.

Peña explained that “social movements, peasants, women, political parties, and native Guatemalan peoples have expressed their firm repudiation of the presence of fascism in their country, represented by the filthy figure of Edmundo González.”

He also applauded the position of these movements and assured that such action is an “act of unity, they express their love for Venezuela and their will and solidarity to defend peace in our region.”
