The organizations “We Will Win”, “Stiching Asewara Ketatong” and “Sons of Slaves”, as well as groups of citizens who are friends of Venezuela, marched in Suriname in an act of solidarity to raise their voices and denounce the imperialist aggression against the Venezuelan people, committed by the government and the armed forces of the United States (USA).

At the premises of the Diplomatic Mission of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Suriname, Ambassador Ayerim Flores Rivas received a statement from these solidarity groups, in which they condemn the US attack on the South American country, demanding respect for international law and the immediate release of constitutional president Nicolás Maduro and first lady Cilia Flores de Maduro.

In an emotional event, the indigenous organization “Stiching Asewara Ketatong” prayed for the early return of the presidential couple, and in honor of the 100 Venezuelan and Cuban heroes who gave their lives on January 3, defending the Bolivarian Homeland from the brutal and illegal bombing perpetrated by the U.S. government.

Ambassador Flores Rivas thanked the solidarity and love expressed, which reflects the firm will of those who value justice and the sovereignty of peoples, while calling for them to remain firm in the fight against interventionist policies, the preservation of peace and unity.

As in Suriname, various demonstrations in solidarity with the people and Government of Venezuela and in rejection of military aggression against their sovereignty have been held throughout the continent as an expression of condemnation of the illegal action of the United States against a sovereign State and its institutionality.
