In response to statements made by the President of the United States (USA), Donald Trump, about believing he is the owner of Venezuelan oil, the Spanish Foreign Minister, José Manuel Albares, reiterated that the natural resources of the Latin American country belong to the Venezuelan people.

In statements to the media, Albares stated that “the natural resources of a country belong to the nationals of that country. International law says so.”

With regard to the US military aggression against Venezuela, the Spanish diplomat, who is “a very dangerous precedent for world order, is the time to consider whether or not he is in favor of international law. That's true for Venezuela, Gaza or Ukraine.”

In this regard, he indicated that the US armed operation against several Venezuelan states constitutes an illegal action from the point of view of international law, RT reports.
