SPNS deployed comprehensive health care days in Guayana Essequiba

Over the weekend, the Ministry of People's Power for Health guaranteed comprehensive medical care to more than 1,300 people in the state of Guayana Esequiba.

According to a press release, the first medical care approach was carried out in the Pemona San Antonio de Roscio Indigenous Community, where more than 800 inhabitants were favored with pediatric, geriatric, disease screening, free drug delivery and the provision of technical aids that included canes, wheelchairs, nebulizers and a clinical bed.

Subsequently, teams from the National Public Health System (SPNS) took over the San Mino mining community, located in the Bosco sector, providing general medical care, pediatrics, vaccination, pregnancy tests, screenings for HIV and syphilis, in addition to the free delivery of medicines for more than 200 workers and families in the area.

Also, on Sunday, August 9, within the framework of the International Day of Indigenous Peoples, a third operation was carried out in the Araima Tepuy Indigenous Community. During the approach, comprehensive care was provided to more than 300 people in the areas of pediatrics, general medicine, geriatrics, screening evaluation, family planning, delivery of contraceptive methods, drugs and the direct provision of supplies for the local outpatient clinic, accompanying the activity with recreational dynamics of the REIR Plan for children in the sector.

It is important to note that, to date, the SPNS has a total of 69 social care and health deployments in the region.
