Standing Committee for Road Safety evaluates new prevention strategies

With the objective of strengthening the culture of road prevention in the country, the first meeting of the Standing Committee for Road Safety and the Reduction of Accidents in the Motor Sector was set up, with the fundamental objective of safeguarding and preserving the right to life of citizens.
The meeting was led by the president of the National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT), Dr. Luis Granko, together with his management team, with the presence of the Ministry of Popular Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace (MPPRIJP), represented by the Venezuelan Observatory of Citizen Security (OVS), the Bolivarian National Police Corps (CPNB) and officials from the different municipalities of the metropolitan axis, who coordinated efforts to develop joint strategies.
The INTT evaluated the abilities to grant a driver's license through the application of theoretical and practical tests aimed at ensuring road safety, experience and awareness of the motorized sector, thus consolidating the main purposes of this commission.
