As part of the National Scientific Seedbeds Program, the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology in the state of Apure (Fundacite) held a day of mass microscopy aimed at 5th grade students of the San Fernando Diocesan School Educational Unit.

This initiative, framed in the Great Mission of Science, Technology and Innovation Dr. Humberto Fernández Morán, sought to encourage curiosity about research disciplines, allowing boys and girls to approach technical observation and technological development from their initial school stage.

During the training workshop, participants explored the “invisible world” by recognizing the optical and mechanical systems that make up the microscope.

The facilitators, according to a press release, delved into the historical evolution of these tools and their crucial impact on modern biology, placing special emphasis on compliance with safety regulations and the proper management of laboratory equipment to ensure ethical and responsible scientific practice.

The day concluded with a practical demonstration session, where students learned essential techniques for focusing and preparing biological samples. When observing cellular structures for the first time, young people linked theoretical concepts with real applications in health, thus consolidating scientific relevance in the llanera region.
