The Infocentro Foundation held an innovative workshop that brought together 128 students from the Samuel Robinson High School in Barinas to address key issues such as educational robotics, cybersecurity and the prevention of cyberbullying.
The day, developed in an interactive and practical format, seeks to equip young people with technological and social tools, essential for their integral development.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), participants explored basic concepts of robot programming and design, introducing themselves to the world of robotics as an educational tool.
In addition, cybersecurity was explored in depth, teaching strategies to protect personal information and navigate safely on the internet.
Another of the central components of the workshop was the prevention of cyberbullying, where real cases were analyzed and mechanisms to identify and combat this phenomenon were discussed.
The director of the Samuel Robinson High School, Alexander Simanca, said that they are “committed to providing our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the 21st century. This workshop is an example of our approach to comprehensive education, which combines technology with training in values and social responsibility,” he said.
