A group of 67 students from the Diego de Ordaz School Educational Unit in the Caroní municipality, Bolívar state, explored the world of science in a workshop organized by the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (Fundacite) in the region.
In this workshop, the scientific seedbeds learned basic concepts of the chemical elements, delved into fundamental concepts of matter and explored its different states and how substances can be presented in different forms.
To put what they learned into practice, the boys and girls drew examples of physical and chemical changes, illustrating the transformations that occur in matter, reported the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT).
During the day, the students learned how to use an electronic magnifying glass, which allowed them to closely observe details of insects such as ants and mosquitoes, while, with a microscope, they visualized the various cells that make up blood, a vital element for every living being.
