This Sunday, 221 high school students with the best grades left for Mexico, in recognition of their academic performance.

The information was provided by the Deputy Minister of Education, Alejandro López, who stressed that this is an effort of the Venezuelan Government, in conjunction with that of Mexico, to recognize the efforts of students and promote cultural exchange.

“On the trip, they will be able to learn about Mexican culture on this journey where their university life began,” López said from Maiquetía International Airport, while stressing that these students have an average of 19.5 and 20 points.

The young people, according to a press release from the Ministry of Education, will visit the city of Cancun for five days, as well as other tourist and cultural destinations in the Yucatan Peninsula.

For his part, the Mexican ambassador to Venezuela, Leopoldo de Gyves, considered this process as an exercise in recognizing the friendship between the two countries.

“These young people are being rewarded with a unique opportunity, getting to know one of the most important cultural centers in the country, such as the Mayan Route,” he said.
