SUCRE - BERMÚDEZ/Cabello: Current members of the opposition are the same members of the Fourth Republic

The members of the current opposition are the same people who murdered the revolutionaries of the time in the Fourth Republic for thinking and aspiring to a different country, said the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón.

“Today they are the same, so we must compare in order to convince and win. When we are convincing with arguments we are adding something very important, we are adding”, he emphasized.

In that sense, he maintained that he is certain “that a large percentage of people who were once opponents are now with revolutionary force because they are disappointed in that opposition leadership.”

He said that in the opposition sector “everyone is a bunch of crooks, thieves, none of them work.”

The approach was made by Cabello, recalling that countless families in Carúpano were mourned by the evil of the members of the Fourth Republic, when the current government assassinated the revolutionaries, “they were left in pain without ever seeing their children again, just because they thought differently, because they wanted a different country for the future”.

“They came at night, knocked on the door and took them away, ask the grandparents here,” he said.

This was stated in Carúpano, the Bermúdez municipality in Sucre state, on the occasion of the mobilization in support of Nicolás Maduro and in rejection of the United States blockade against the country.
