The Superintendency of Banking Sector Institutions (SUDEBAN) confirmed that Monday, June 23, will be a non-working day for the financial sector due to the religious commemoration of Corpus Christi, while Tuesday, June 24, will also be a national holiday in honor of the Battle of Carabobo.
During these two days, all bank branches, ticket offices and public service offices will be closed throughout the country. However, electronic services will continue to be available so that users can carry out their financial transactions.
Online banking, mobile applications, cash machines and telephone support services will continue to operate normally to allow balance inquiries, transfers, service payments and other common transactions.
Banking authorities recommend that users plan ahead for their financial needs and carry out any urgent face-to-face operations before the start of the holiday. They also suggest verifying available balances and making sure you have enough cash to cover needs during these days, especially considering that some transactions may have operating limits on digital channels.
Users can report any eventuality or failure in electronic services through the customer service lines of each bank. In-person operations will return to normal on Wednesday, June 25 at each institution's regular schedule.
SUDEBAN reminds the population that, although physical banking will not operate these two days, digital channels offer a secure alternative available 24 hours a day for most basic financial transactions, so they recommend familiarizing themselves with these platforms for emergencies or urgent financial needs during bank holiday periods.
