SUDEBAN: Monday, February 16 and Tuesday, February 17 will be bank holidays for Carnival

The Superintendency of Banking Sector Institutions (SUDEBAN) reported that, according to its official calendar, next Monday, February 16 and Tuesday, February 17, 2026 will be bank days, on the occasion of the Carnival festivities.

During this period, agencies across the country will not provide direct service to the public at their main offices.

Despite the general shutdown, some financial institutions may set up external ticket offices or special days at branches located inside shopping centers. These operational exceptions depend on each bank's policies, so customers are encouraged to check specific schedules.

Authorities urge users to use web portals and mobile applications for transfers, payments and inquiries. SUDEBAN suggests consulting the social networks of each institution for any adjustments to digital services during these days of national holidays.
