Surgical Plan benefited ophthalmic patients in Barinas

A total of 20 ophthalmic patients benefited from interventions to treat pterygium, through the National Surgical Plan in the state of Barinas, as reported by the Minister of Health, Magaly Gutiérrez.
According to a press release from the Health portfolio reviewed by the Venezuelan News Agency, the minister explained that the day took place at the Socialist Ophthalmological Center of Barinas.
“At the Socialist Ophthalmological Center of Barinas, the National Surgical Plan began with a day of pterygium. More than 20 patients of different ages from the Portuguese state were treated, who underwent free surgery and received quality care,” he said.
For her part, the Single Health Authority in the entity, Dr. Claudia Bernate, stressed that “the articulated work between the different levels of government made it possible to treat patients from different states in these ophthalmic centers”.
