A total of 75 patients underwent surgery in the state of Sucre, during a day of the Surgical Plan deployed at the Antonio Patricio de Alcalá University Hospital in Cumaná.

According to information published on the web portal of the newspaper Úlmas Noticias, the coordinator of the day, César Anzola, explained that four operating rooms in the hospital were arranged to perform the interventions.

In addition, it was known that among the pathologies treated, radical mastectomies, hemicolectomies and other highly complex procedures, performed by specialists in general surgery, oncology and gynecological surgery, stand out.

“These operations are part of a permanent strategy, a policy that will allow us to treat and respond to the population in surgical matters,” emphasized El Anzola.
