Suriname sends humanitarian aid to the country for damage caused by double earthquakes

Venezuela received a plane from Suriname with seven tons of food and personal hygiene items, as part of the support sent by President Jennifer Geerlings-Simons to the populations affected by the double earthquake of last June 24.
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Trade reported that the shipment of humanitarian assistance arrived last Tuesday, August 4, at Maiquetía International Airport, in the state of La Guaira.
The cargo was received by representatives of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry and by the ambassador of the South American nation, Georgette García Elías, who was on board the flight.
