From the city of San Cristóbal in the state of Táchira, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and candidate for re-election for the coming July 28, Nicolás Maduro, asserted that “they have tried to knock us down 100 times, they haven't knocked us down and they are not going to succeed.”

“I want to tell the world and all of Venezuela that we are a reality, we are a power, we are real, we are a political, social and cultural power. (...) We are the Venezuelan identity of the 21st century: Bolivarialism and Chavism pass through us,” he said.

He added that this town has "the perfect civic military police union. The FANB supports me, it's Chavista, it's Bolivarian, it's revolutionary. Who has, behind them, a power like this people? We are a great reality and despite the fact that they have tried to make us invisible a thousand times, they have not been able to and will not be able to (...)”.
