Táchirenses participate in II National Popular Consultation 2025

The Second National Popular Consultation in the state of Táchira becomes the scene of a democratic day where communities have the opportunity to directly decide the projects that will be implemented in their territories. One of the 268 electoral centers authorized by the National Electoral Council (CNE) is Juan Vicente Gómez, where from the early hours citizens have come to actively participate in this process.

Oscar Amador, one of the participants, expressed his gratitude for the policies of President Nicolás Maduro: “It gave us communities the opportunity to choose our own projects, the needs we have in our community. Grateful, Mr. President, God bless you. Well, I have been here since 7 in the morning motivating the people to go out and choose their own projects and to make them a reality.”

For her part, Janeth Delgado, another participant, highlighted the importance of this consultation: “It is very important and grateful this time because it is more about giving more power to the people and that is what is required. The only country in the world where the people just decide on their territory what project to implement, what Venezuela needs.”

In each electoral center, citizens can choose between seven projects previously proposed by the communities. In total, the state of Táchira has 1,633 projects submitted, of which today those that will be executed will be selected.

To ensure the peaceful and harmonious development of this day, more than 3,000 Plan República officials are deployed in the 29 municipalities of the state of Táchira.
