The San Martín Theater will open
its doors this weekend to host the children's play “La Nave de las
Letras Viajeras”, a proposal that aims to promote reading and
imagination in children.
The
play, produced by the Art and Language Group together with the National
Theater Company, will perform on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 May at 3:00 in the
afternoon, with a production aimed especially at boys and girls between 5 and 10 years old, according to the Ministry
for Culture.
Under
the direction and performance of Erika Zañartu, who plays the “Captain of Letters”, and with Diana Ramírez in
the role of Carmencita, the story tells the mission of an aviator who tries to rescue
the books of a girl who prefers to “eat” the letters instead of reading them.
With
a duration of 40 minutes, the piece offers a playful message about the value
of words and reading as food for the imagination, also supported
by the narration in voice of Marcos Estévez.
Tickets will be available at the theater box office, with affordable prices and promotions for the public. The initiative is part of the program promoted by the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture to promote cultural enjoyment in the family.
